In response to continued historical suffering and gradual loss of livelihood in Africa in in particular Somalia perpetuated civil strife, anarchy, lawlessness and recurrent natural catastrophes – drought and flooding. The result is loss of innocent lives and mass displacement of population. Exposing the survivors to humanitarian disaster and gross violation of human rights - widespread abduction, looting and rape crimes, destruction of social fabric, indoctrination and child soldiering – Integrated Development, Emergency and Learning Initiative (Dugsi) was born. Dugsi serve as non-profit and neutral humanitarian institute committed to providing voluntary services the population affected by natural and man-made calamities. Dugsi joins the pool of humanitarian actors in the consorted effort of finding durable solution to the world problems.
